Climber
GTS is Looking to grow our team with a Climber/Foreman experienced in all aspects of proper tree care.
CDL license needed, ISA Certification helpful, but will assist the right candidate to obtain. A positive attitude a must, the ability to run a crew and work the ground with the crew is also a must. We do residential, commercial, and municipal tree contracts. Compensation negotiable, expect it to above the rest if you meet qualifications for workmanship and attitude! New model equipment, elevator buckets, mini skids with grapples, log loader, and large capacity chippers, the equipment works harder so you don’t have too. The company supply saws, ropes, and PPE.
Equipment Operator-
As we continue to grow the company, we are looking for full-time Equipment Operators for our Construction
Essential Functions
You will be responsible for working with different types of Landscape Construction Equipment safely and efficiently. Candidates must have a broad working knowledge and experience in Equipment Operation of:
- Skid Steer
- Skip Loader
- Backhoe
- Mini-excavator
- Ride on trencher
- Must be willing to work with crews when equipment is not needed and other duties assigned by management
Groundsman-
GTS is seeking a reliable, hardworking and safety conscious person to train as Groundsman.
The Groundsman is an integral person in the smooth operation and safety of our Tree Worker Team. A drivers license is required. Previous experience would be an advantage but training is available. Tree Trimmer
- Trim and/or remove trees by climbing with the aid of a ladder, safety belt, climbing line or powered trimmer lift truck, or work from the ground using saws/pruners.
- Cut branches or trunk sections and drops or lowers them to the ground with lines.
- Use appropriate tools to will fell trees or trimmed trunks and split them into manageable pieces.
- Spray stumps and brush with hand-spraying equipment to prevent further growth.
- Load and unload trucks with logs, stumps, brush, and debris and/or feed brush into a wood chipper.
- Repair light damage to lawns, fences, and walks caused by tree trimming.
- Keep trucks and work area clear and orderly.
- Assume responsibility for the inspection and proper working conditions of tools, trucks, and other work equipment. Request repair or replacement of equipment when necessary.
- Work around hazardous equipment and in close proximity to energized power lines.
- Work around excessive noise from machines, chainsaws, wood chipper and must wear proper personal protective equipment.
- Exposed to all temperatures and weather; will be exposed to nature, i.e., irritating plants, biting or stinging insects, dust, etc.
- May work on rough terrain.
- Help enforce on-the-job safety practices for crew members.
